More links in this post. From that post you can follow it back to previous posts that connect more dots. Please take the links too and contemplate what is really afoot here. The illegals/protesters themselves are just useful idiots.
You are right Tiger, the key was finding out who was behind it
The students are fearful they will lose their illegal parents
But we are so screwed in DC they do not listen, the ones who hear us are far outnumbered by those who are self serving
People better wake up. This is not about worker's rights or fair immigration policies to the people behind it all. It is political power they are after and they already have a lot. They are leftists and they simply need to tip the balance of leftist power in this country. The last two Presidential elections were close to 50/50. Amnesty is great for the workers but even better for the leftists. Sign up more Dem voters. Get a lock on the electoral process. With no election at all they are manipulating legislation as we speak.
Someone I know has been out of construction work (Union carpenter) and can only pick up money by picketing low waged mexican illegals on the union jobs
Is this what politicians refer to as a gig no American will work?!
Wages are the same or lower than they were twenty years ago. Housing costs are more than 200% higher due to the retirement/tourist aspects of town. I couldn't live in this town on $15 or even $20 per hour.
My pain problems are manageable now but I can't surmount the ecomic problem. Many of my friends in the trades have left. Citizens do not get a break on zoning codes even if they wanted to bunk up with two other families.
Another friend has become a contractor and works by himself or with one employee. When he advertised his business the only calls he got were from people looking to place illegals. He gets his work word of mouth and makes ends meet but even as a contractor he can only charge $25 p.hr. for his own labor. I was making $15 on-the-books in '86. A hired carpenter should be making at least $35 now. The national average was $45 in the mid-eighties.
Being a small mountain town wages here have always been about 20% lower than in Denver but I doubt a carpenter there makes much more than $20 today. I don't really know. I do know that in '93 a contractor hired me for a few days work at $15. I was getting ready to go to Abq. to go to attend an herbal medicine school and this contractor mentioned that he had a big project there. I told him that was great because I would like to pick up some work while I was there. He said "Can't do it. I can't pay you as much there because the illegals there keep wages down." You can bet I didn't want that since I was working well below the average in CO already.
I guess Bush is right; carpentry is a job I won't do. Not for 50% less than it ought to pay. Maybe I should drop my namby pamby principles and go hire twenty illegals to work for me and sit back and pocket what ought to go for their withholdings. Not that the developers are paying enough to cover that. There is nothing out there to stop me.
HOOORAY!!!!
When I started my last post with "I know this." I meant it as a lead in to what was to follow. Looking back at it it looks like it could be taken as responding to you in a smart aleck way. I didn't mean it that way if it does.
My BIL in Eagle Rock,CA has had his own landscaping business for a few decades and hires only citizens, BUT that's not to say that his landscaping business isn't hurting dreadfully right now, thank goodness he built up an established clientele
The kid was just on with John Ziegler (KFI Los Angeles). As a reward for his efforts, he's been suspended from school and told by the District Superintendent that if he proceeded with his planned protest tomorrow - across the street from the school - he'd be suspended for "contributing to a crime."
No, I'm at King Middle, right down the street. On Fountain.
Went there also, 1948-50.
I do not know if you have been following the story, but Josh, a high school student from the Riverside area tried to hold a pro America rally after MeCHa had one on PUBLIC school grounds. One of his fellows was ruffed up by MeCha, the Principal said NO, and then suspended him for handing out US flags and flyer's for the protest that he decided to have outside of the school since they would not let him have a rally on campus. This hit the news, and the drive time slot of the John and Ken show picked up, along with KABC and so forth.
He needs our support big time, and the media is HOT on this story, and will be there tomorrow since the principal threatened to ARREST him if he comes within 2000 ft of the school with his protest tomorrow !!! He will certainly be back on the radio tomorrow, as they want to know what happens. This has the potential to create a flash point for us in a BIG way, and get momentum back on our side.
I know it is a work day, but if there was ever a day to take off, and get going early for this weekends border activities, it is NOW. See the link below for commentary, updates, and directions. Any questions, call me at 818 601 8407. We will have anti MeCHa flyer's, bring flags, and big time. Signage and any flyer's that you want to make also.

updated!
The kids will show our politicians and the illegals!
WOW and support this kid...BUMP!
Just saw on the local news where an elderly Mexican woman earned her elementary school diploma in Indianapolis.
Given the fact that she earned it in Spanish instead of English, I can't help but wonder why in the hell this was on the 11 o'clock news?
Although I salute this guy, he better watch his back. This is going to get a lot nastier before it is over."
You got that right.
I live in the L.A. area and it wouldn't surprise me if someone got shot in Mira Loma tomorrow.
King MS has changed a lot since you were there, I'm sure. Now it's 80% Hispanic, and almost every Monday we have to repaint over the graffiti.... there are so many kids there now we have gone to year-round school. Three tracks.
It was only around 20% hispnic or less back then but watch out when you get to Marshall. The same Toonerville and Valley gangs are there and twice as violent as they were 50 years ago.
It isn't just the illegals that rob steal and pillage, our office and yard in in the Toonerville (FTR or frogtown rules) area and the grandkids of the same ones that I went to school with have stolen or destroyed almost $100k of our property since I closed the business and locked everything up.
