I am a guy who owns two cats and I'm not metrosexual or effeminate. I like cats because they're clean, mind their own business and aren't overly demanding of your time and attention and best of all, they don't need training to be socialized like dogs are. I know, people wouldn't think of them as man's best friend but being a male, I am one of those exceptions. Bird flu? For me and my kitties, its not an issue. :)

Not true. When I was thirteen my family had a cat that saved our lives once. Everyone was asleep in the house. My mom had fallen asleep with her bedroom light on while reading. Well, our cat named Mokey kept going back and forth from the foot of the bed to the window making these funny noises in her throat. My mom almost got up and put her out of her room but Mokey's hair was standing up on end, ears were back and she was looking right at the window. My Mom sat up and parted the curtain and there standing on the ledge outside her window was a man. My Mom screamed jumped up and called the police but he was gone by the time the police arrived. No telling what might have happended had it not been for our kitty.

I'm a man who owns cats and does a lot of rescue work with them and dogs. I also have two dogs. Cats are awesome animals. They're smart, some come when called and are miniature space heaters when they sleep between my legs.

I like cats. Cats are natural warriors and natural killers. I have seen tough cats take a dog in a heart-beat. The male cat is single minded.
I like dogs also, but dogs are servants, cats are equals.
