I once had an uncle kinda like you. We used to lock him in the basement when he misbehaved. One time, after he promised to be good, we let him come upstairs for a family reunion get-together. During dinner, he suddenly grabbed a plate full of butter patties and promptly proceeded to slather grandma Chester's hair with it. "Bad uncle - That's it for you!" we told him. "It's back to the basement!!"

Now, whenever company comes over, we know the best thing to do is ignore the constant pounding and just slide a plate of food under the door. It's best that way.
