[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

SOUL OF THE DRAGON

Claw veiled in flesh,
Tooth veiled in maw.
Hunger veiled in heart,
Bite veiled in jaw.

Realities entwined,
Souls all together mesh.
Hidden in a hidden world,
Truth veiled in flesh.

Gone be not the magic spells,
Spirits, ghosts or Fey.
Neither Dragons, for in our hearts,
They hide, and we are they.

Bound to this chair
staring out the window
watching spring go by
and I have to sit here

Its getting hard to care
like a lost soul in the undertow
watching that small scrap of sky
oh freedom lost to me I fear

like a lost soul in the undertow

I struggle to keep head above
the crashing waters and the pull
of the undertow...
like a sparrow in a whirl wind
whose broken wing cannot sustain her
ability to stay on a even keel
thrashing around with one wing
the roar of the winds and the crashing
of the waves push and pull me against the rocks.
In a heap of bruised feathers the flight has ended.

My poet, thou canst touch on all the notes
God set between his After and Before,
And strike up and strike off the general roar

laughter is the magic of friends
shared, it grows stronger and dearer
hoarded, it withers and turns bitter

How would one hoard laughter
there is no way it seems
to take a laugh and can it
at best it would sound canned

Oh yes, I know they do that
then play in to fill in dead space
but fresh spontaneous laughter
can fill a hollow place
just toss your head back
and let your belly shake
just let her rip and take
all the wrinkles from your face.

ROAR like a lion when you laughter
giggle if you wish
snicker if it tickles you
and just pass it back...

Feeling better, good news, I get the cast off NEXT week (instead of two weeks from now), and I get to stop shooting myself in the stomach with blood thinners then too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I HATE needles!)
