My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Whistling winds evoke
omens of rebuke
stormy waters swirl
in torrents of vile.

As soft as watered silk
the wind caresses you skin
and I long to follow suit
tracing desire softly

In ponds of reeds
breeding dragonfly species
multi coloured sheer filament
gossamer wings
dancing on the winds of time

A safe harbor
shelter from torrential rains
hail fire brimstone
upon innocent heads
unknowing, unaware of the fire storm
brewing in other heads.
A safe harbor,
where is this place
where friends embrace
as the sunsets on
on an April day?

I haven't been feeling very poetic lately, however I felt the best way to express some recent feelings was to write it out instead of act it out. The poetry isn't the best, but it's better then giving in to bad desires.
Constant Guard
Years of fighting trains the mind,
To press the attack, dont linger behind.
The fighting seems fiercest up in the front,
The arrows are many and the daggers arent blunt.
But when your sword feels heavy,
And your strength seems to leave,
You drift toward the rear to get some reprieve.
In your hour of healing the enemy still calls,
You deserve more then this, go ahead and indulge.
His tactics are clever using pain and delights,
With one he assaults and the other, invites.
You may say to yourself, I deserve some fun,
After years of hard work, Ill go get me some.
You need a true friend in moments such as these,
For one bad decision, could bring others to their knees.
So be on guard against the temptation of desire,
It can destroy even faster then an arrow of fire.
Sincerely

Thanks for being a friend who reads the ramblings of a tired soul. If I didn't have this writing outlet, I fear as to where my selfish energy would get spent.
Sincerely

Little gifts we receive
pen to paper in the night
hold the words till morning light
captures them on the page
holds back the rage
until the time we can engage
in civil conduct...
Or just let them lay on the page
until yellow they turn from age
we have moved forward and don't
remember what is was turning our head.

Sonnet XLIV by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Beloved, thou hast brought me many flowers Plucked in the garden, all the summer through And winter, and it seemed as if they grew In this close room, nor missed the sun and showers. So, in the like name of that love of ours, Take back these thoughts which here unfolded too, And which on warm and cold days I withdrew From my heart's ground. Indeed, those beds and bowers Be overgrown with bitter weeds and rue, And wait thy weeding; yet here's eglantine, Here 's ivy !--take them, as I used to do Thy fowers, and keep them where they shall not pine. Instruct thine eyes to keep their colors true, And tell thy soul their roots are left in mine.
