My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Morning in April,
Forsythia blossoms dusted with white,
Sunshine in the afternoon,
Tulips burning redly.
Ignoring it all,
the goldfinches flash yellow
at the thistle seed feeder.

Morning Knitting!

Lovely scene you have painted this morning. Gold finches are fun birds.

I have two thistle socks. I stopped feeding the mixed seed, cause there's enough around here now that the snow has lifted and the juncos and pine siskens have moved uphill, and the finches don't like to compete with the sparrows. House finches and goldfinches mostly right now. Lots of goldfinches!

You need them not to be anywhere near where the other birds hang out. They do not like to hang with chickadees or sparrows.

Good afternoon, Bent baby! It's another beautiful spring day; I hope you enjoy it.

Going to be a busy day and evening. Art class tonight and I'm working on the lessons.
