nice work, Mason.

Tremendous outcome: A conservative school (and a HUGE longshot) beats a team of lazy, unfocused, underachievers (some of whom have criminal records) who are the darlings of the NE media elite.
A hearty congratulations, Patriots!!!

everyone who had George Mason in the Final Four in their bracket, raise your hand... 72 entries out of about 2.5 million had the in the ESPN Pool.

Well, explain this: Florida is leading Villanova as I type this message. This year's Final Four could be the year of the low on radar teams; note that both UCLA and LSU--while having storied programs--weren't exactly picked by many experts to make it to the Final Four.
To: RayChuang88
#2 seed UCLA was indeed picked by many college hoops buffs to make the Final Four.
....But you're right about the rest of them (although Nova isn't out of it just yet).

Lotta Gators in my family -- the Microsoft of sports franchises. Feared and hated by everyone.

I'm with you. My bracket was fantastic after the first weekend, then collapsed like Howard Dean's campaign. Therefore, I'm rooting for the underdog all the way on this one. Go Patriots!

Oh, I dunno... a 2 seed, a 3 seed, and a 4 seed in the Final Four isn't really all that unusual. In fact, it would have been far more unusual to have all four 1 seeds in the Final Four. An 11 seed isn't supposed to be there, though. Only LSU in '86 and George Mason this year have pulled off that feat. Everyone knows an 11 seed can't win the whole thing... except the players on the Patriots. I hope it's a lesson they never learn. I'd really like to see a school from a small conference win it all.

I thought for sure that when UConn tied it at the end of regulation that George Mason would fold in OT. They showed a ton of heart.
To: MinorityRepublican
No LSU did it back in 1986.
To: muawiyah
UConn looked crappy against the #16 seed Albany. Glad to see Calhoun getting bounced.
To: southernnorthcarolina
I wonder what Vegas had for odds on that?
To: Cyclopean Squid
I'm trying to remember the last time no #1 seed made it.
To: IndyTiger
I don't know about that. George Mason will be hyped all week long by ESPN so they'll be quite the draw come Saturday night.
To: mainepatsfan
What a game! A lot better than Villanova, now THAT was disapointing..

All the one seeds were a let down. Heck how many folks didn't have any top seeds going to Indy?
