LOL! I especially liked "Taylor Hicks (Kicks) Butt!" Were they actually commenting on his fundament? I tell ya, I'm not impressed with it myself.... :)

ONE CONTESTANT WILL ATTEMPT "Bohemian Rhapsody" THIS TUESDAY.

Don't ask me who it is because I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine.

'Idol' Insider: Simon Breaks the Code of Silence
April 7, 2006

She may have bid farewell to "American Idol," but Mandisa says you haven't heard the last of her yet.

The bold voiced "Idol" hopeful even got some good news from our Terri Seymour Friday morning. "Simon goes around the house singing that song," Seymour revealed.

Ultimately, it wasn't enough for America, and now Simon Cowell says it's time for a wakeup call on "American Idol." "I believe every single week you've got to treat it as if it's the finals," he said. "You've got to go out there and bring three minutes of magic and if you don't, you're out."

Simon and "Idol" Executive Producer Ken Warwick cut straight to the chase when Terri sat down with them in between auditions for their new NBC show, "America's Got Talent." The twosome even revealed two more secret "Idol" guest performers.

"Rod Stewart," Ken said. "Andrea Bocelli, we're trying to get. That should be interesting."

But Stewart and Bocelli will have to wait. Simon says he's just looking forward to next week when the "Idols" tackle the songs of Queen. "If you choose the right song, and you're clever with that song, it's all about having that moment," Cowell said. "There's a moment where you go, 'Oh my God.'"

And here's a little tidbit even Simon didn't know: one of the "Idols" will attempt to sing Queen's complex signature hit, "Bohemian Rhapsody."

"Well, I am dying to know who's going to sing that one," Simon said. "Because it will make you or break you."

And if it doesn't break them, don't expect Simon to sit back and let Ryan offer up excuses.

"Ryan said to you the other night it's not about the song, it's about what you sing," Terri said.

"That's like saying Ryan would be a success without 'American Idol,'" Simon shot back.

Watch for more stinging Simon when the "Idols" hit the stage, Tuesday night on FOX.

Regarding the song contestants should sing on Queen Night, I know at least 2 they should NOT SING.

"CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE" is NOT a good idea.

1) It has been overperformed by many bands in many bars in the USA and Simon ( being who he is) will refer to this once again --- especially if Taylor, Bucky or Chris sings it.

2) David Radford already did this ( a Michael Buble version ) in the top 24 elimination. Not a good idea to come back to it again.

FAT BOTTOMED GIRLs is NOT a good idea because :

1) Too much reference to the dearly departed Mandissa, therefore...

2) It is POLITICALLY INCORRECT. Will cost you the overweight/obese demographic vote.

My preference for Taylor Hicks that will highlight vocals AND performance is --- SOMEBODY TO LOVE.

For Chris -- WE WILL ROCK YOU.

On second thought, "Fat Bottomed Girls" would be a TRIBUTE to Mandisa.

"Fat Bottomed girls you make the Rockin world go round!"
It's glorifying "Fat Bottomed girls" - not putting them down. And as I mentioned before every woman on earth
thinks she has a big bottom - even if she doesn't. It's a good song and I think it's a vote getter.

That, and "My Best Friend" are probably the most servicable in the Queen canon, such as it is.

I'd like to hear Katherine knock one of those down, not that she couldn't knock me over with a feather.

She is playing well out there. Don't think she isn't.

Okay. So I guess that's why there were two different segments airing on all FOX affiliates last week, asking if Kellie is playing dumb? And why Seacrest asked her--on live TV--this past Tuesday, "are you playing dumb?"

Apparently enough people are asking that same question that both Idol and Pickler felt the need to respond.

I vote "break you", no matter who sings it. (Don't do it, Bucky! :)

My guess is that none of them will sing Bohemian Rhapsody, and that that particular rumor is unfounded.

Apparently the rest are voting for her, and they are in the majority.

For Carrie Underwood fans, another nice article:

Underwood: Country Thunder's idol
By Cathalena E. Burch
Arizona Daily Star
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 04.09.2006

FLORENCE — Every time country music newcomer Carrie Underwood strode down the runway at Country Thunder Saturday evening, a throng of fans a few hundred deep abandoned their seats and swarmed the wooden plank.

Underwood has that effect on people.

In just about a year, she's gone from the girl who dreamed big to the girl who realizes even bigger.

In the time since her "American Idol" win in 2005, Underwood has become a superstar in the wings: Her concerts, like her appearance on the final day of Country Thunder 2006, bring die-hard country fans together with people who would've sworn a year ago that they'd never, ever pay to see a country show.

This summer, she's on the road with Kenny Chesney, but you can bet there will be a fair number of folks in those sure-to-be-sold-out audiences drawn there by the 23-year-old beauty.

"Carrie Underwood did a good job of nailing that classic "aye, yah, yah, yah" Axl Rose line in "Sweet Child of Mine"

Impressive. I didn't realize she was doing rock numbers.

Some more Carrie Underwood news:

Carrie Underwood Wins GMA Award For 'Jesus, Take The Wheel'

NASHVILLE, TN (Carrie Underwood Official Website) - It has been a great week for Carrie Underwood. Upon learning of the news just before she hit the stage last night, Underwood said 'it's been amazing how this song has impacted so many people in so many ways. I am honored to have had the chance to be the singer to bring this song to people.'

Underwood has more award nominations at next week's CMT Music Awards- Breakthrough Video of The Year, Most Inspiring Video, and Female Video of The Year- all for 'Jesus, Take The Wheel.' She has also garnered four nominations at the Academy of Country Music Awards- New Female Vocalist, Female Vocalist and Single and Song Of The Year for 'Jesus, Take The Wheel.'

Perhaps one of our enterprising audiophiles can scare up a mp3 link of Carrie doing GnR.

How great you got to see him in his prime!

At least his albums are immortal.
