I guess there were those in the audience who bought that and those that didn't. I didn't. The first time I saw it, I bought it. But when they replayed that scene, along with the "my daddy's in jail" crying jag, it was clear that Idol was manipulating the viewers almost as much as Pickler herself.

At least Spencer, her current boyfriend, came to her defense, although I'm not clear how he wound up in the hospital when he punched Lefkowitz in the face. He hit an agent... who knows what kind of things you can get from touching one of them?

Manipulative or not, it was a great story arc: abandoned trailer trash goes to Hollywood. The lyrics almost write themselves.
And I don't think middle America is paying any attention to the internet barbs taking down Pickler. We're all in a bubble here.
She is playing well out there. Don't think she isn't.

"Freddie Mercury's performance at Live Aid has recently been voted by various artists, journalists and music industry executives as the greatest live performance of all time in rock music"It wasn't.
Not for all time, or even for that day.

I've been told that WIKIPEDIA allows ANYONE to add material, which might explain the above comment! You could just as easily add a comment stating that it was deemed the worst in history. lol

You could just as easily add a comment stating that it was deemed the worst in history. lol It's not quite that easy as sources for that type of "opinion" are required. For the above comment, here is the link to the poll: Queen win greatest live gig poll
For me, the best live performance I've ever seen was at Live Aid but it was U2's version of Bad. Unreal...

'Wish I could've seen Garth Brooks live, back when he was hot.
I wasn't a fan of country music at the time.

To: SirLinksalot
Now there's a list of songs I can relate to! What I would pick for the contestants:
Elliott--My Funny Valentine
Chris--I'm In the Mood for Love
Ace--I Only Have Eyes for You
Bucky (if he's still around)--Kiss to Build a Dream On
Taylor--Stardust
Paris--Don't Get Around Much Anymore
Kellie--Someone To Watch Over Me
Katherine--That Old Feeling or But Not For Me

To: Palladin
Who do you think might be attempting Bohemian Rhapsody? (I hate that song, Iused to change the station every time it came on)
I figure its too much of a linguistic challenge for Bucky, so he's out.
I think Paris or Katharine have the abilities to do it. Katharine picks weird stuff, so I'll go with her being the one that is going to attempt it.

Sirlinks posted the thread on one of his posts. I will try to find the post and ping you to it. :)

I have the CD. It is good. :)

Ping to 3378. This is SirLinks link to Paul Fineman's show.
Don't know how he finds all this stuff but it's great! :)
To: Netizen
Who is doing Bohemian Rhapsody? Why, it's got to be Ace, of course. He is under the delusion that he has a good falsetto.
