Ok. It has been an Ok visit. But I am tired and am getting homesick. I want to go home now.
I have seen enough of this "alternate universe". A place where evil is applauded and celebrated, and righteousness and morality are castigated. A place where the sacred vows of marriage are laughed at, and considered "irrelevant" and "outdated". Where even the very institution of marriage itself is being challenged, to be turned into "whatever we want it to be".
I have seen enough of this alien universe, where enemies of the people, who kill and injure its citizens are NOT called "killers" terrorists " or Barbarians", but are called "freedom fighters" or "resistance". Where Criminals are given a pass, and the courts find someone or something else to blame for their crimes, such as what happened to their great-great-great grandfathers.
But instead it is a place where hard working,moral people can have their homes and rights taken away , so that the rich and powerful can have their golf courses.
I have seen enough of this parallel world, where the life of the innocent, unborn or just-born are sunffed out, with less regard than that of a bug. A universe where peoples lives can be "terminated" at the whim of a "spouse".
I am sick of hearing how "we must be tolerant" and allow filth and perversion to be taught to children as "normal" and am sick of hearing that "waiting for marriage is twisted, old'fashioned and out of touch with reality". Not in my world, it isn't.
In this strange land, Churches are no longer teaching the true word of our creator. Rather, they teach "tolerance and "diversity" and that "we must be inclusive of all other religions". At the same time, they no longer preach about sin, do not protect the unborn and sit by and allow marriage to be forever destroyed.
And in this odd place, the news media is NOT on the side of most of the populace, Rather, it seems to be on the side of these peoples enemies, and works to destroy the very fabric of families, freedom and morality.
SO.......... I have had enough I want to go home, to my world. Where things are the way they should be, and not inside-out, and upside down, like this strange place. Where integrity and morality are celebrated, not shunned. where our fighting men and women are honored for their sacrifice,not lampooned. Where marriage and sexual purity is honored, not laughed at. Where the sacred life of the unborn is held above all else. Where Criminals get their dues, and private property and rights are protected. And where evil and perversion are nowhere to be found.
SO, how much longer before I can go home to my world?? Please, I'm REALLY getting homesick now!!!!
Actually, 2000 census figures show that there are 60,000,000 married couples in the USA, not 40,000,000. Elsewhere I have seen that there are 2 million new marriages a year, and 1 million divorces a year (from the entire pool of married couples).

absolutely, I just don't think we will find the way things used to be here on Earth. I also think if we went back to the good old days, they wouldn't be as good as they seem. (a lot better than now, I grant you)
I can long to go home without taking my life. I pray every day for Christ to come back for his own, but am in no way suicidal. I will wait on his timing, but I can long for it!

That about sums it up for the rest of us. Jesus knows the contradictions around us. Yet, I think he would want us to do what we can, within our resources and abilities, to help others. He knows we are often like the blind man who helps the lame man walk, who in turn helps the blind man get around. That's what we are here for. We have a choice. We can join the crowd that celebrates evil, or we can lift a burden, if even for a short time, for someone else. You may not hear it, but from the softness - a voice: "Thank you friend. Inasmuch as you freely do this for another, you have done it for me."

Don't forget the big picture. If you're tired of what you see around you, draw close and listen to His voice. Remember that we are much better off than we were 2000 years ago. Sure, Satan is trying to get his New World Order, but Jesus will have his first.
Keep your eyes on the Lord, not on the slanted version of reality that the media would have you to perceive. He is still on the throne, those who rage and scream are not.

The devil has everything turned upside down; that is, on its head. Evil passes for good. Good is almost unknown.
God will sort everything out when we get to the other side.

We've been in flame wars with him before. We were just waiting for him or one of his buddies to show up and try to start some trouble.
