Meat eater to the bone.

It's a question of images. A cow is neither ugly or cute, neither is a pig or a chicken.

The thought of their faces doesn't disturb me when I eat their flesh.

On the other hand the image of a doe, a lamb or a lobster does disturb me.

Too cute on the first two. The later is the stuff of nightmares.

It never occurred to me to think of the animal's appearance as a strong factor in diet choice. Taste and texture would be higher on the list and certainly slaughter is something I try to avoid thinking about, but I like cows and pigs better than sheep and that's about the same order in which I like to eat them. I just hope I didn't eat the Einstein of pigs tonight.
