Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!
Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger
I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.
Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.
Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!
Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.
We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

LOL!! I've a former college roommate of polish descent who has five silent letters in his last name: Jazdzewski, pronounced "Jaski".
I don't think it means "butcher" though; probably more like "puree".

Ok, so according to "What we know about the Jazdzewski Family", the surname means "someone who comes from an area named, in Polish, after a particular species of fish" (either jazdz or jaszcz).
Now, aren't you happier about "butcher"? Actually, Rzeznik could be a variant of "Reznik" a term of Jewish origin refering to the person whose task it was to slaughter the animals for sacrifice to YHWH. So, hey, you just MIGHT be a Levite. I'll note that in my Rolodex. Ya never know...

You Firefox users may or may not already have this activated but...
Click "Tools > Options..." and then select "Advanced". Check the two boxes under the heading "Accessibility".
Why?
Because, once you do, you can navigate on web pages via two additional means of shorthand:
The first box enables "caret browsing" so, fr instance, Alt+X navigates to and selects text that has "X" designated as the "shortcut key".
The second box -- and I like this one way more -- enables browsing for a word on any page simply by typing that word. As you begin typing, Firefox actively searches the current page for the text string you've typed thus far. There's even a button at the bottom of the browser that will highlight every occurence of that word.
Try it. with so much text around here, you're bound to find it a handy tool.

I was using the Firefox/Mozilla browser for approximately a week-maybe less-when I briefly had DSL.
Hopefully, I'll be able to use it again once I finally get rid of dial-up permanently.

Hopefully, I'll be able to use it again once I finally get rid of dial-up permanently. What's the issue? It works fine for me all the time, whether via broadband (office/travel) or 26 kbps dialup (home).

I'm not sure the problem was the browser so much as the computer itself.
Some pernicious bug attached itself to my original laptop, which I had to put aside last year.
Eventually, it was salvaged, but there's no way I can use it for Internet access right now.
The computer I'm using now was the one that Mozilla was installed in, but for some reason whenever I tried to open up my e-mail I would be flooded with pop-ups.

Cloes enough. Meeting.
Now I'm out for lunch, then another (short) meeting at 1PM CST.
Thursdays are not as fun as they used to be...
