Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!

I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.
Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.
Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!
Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.
We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

I agree. It's also an excellent depiction of the great Mediterranean cultural milieu of the time. My Sunday School students love to hear about Rome and the other cultures of the time of Jesus. It makes everything more real.

As a coda to all of your Easter discussion, let me commend to you a book that I am in the midst of reading:
"Waking the Dead", by John Eldridge.As one wary of books like Rick Warren's "The Purpose-Driven Life" and the prefabbed falsework that so often gets erected around them, I was very hesitant to buy this book. But I have a treasured brother in Christ -- we are, as he's put it, "like two sides of the same coin" -- and he has, for more than a month, been reading and re-reading it himself, and urging that I do likewise. So, I finally went for it.
I'm REALLY glad I did; just the first three chapters were more than worth the price.
Are you just a "sinner saved by grace", or is there more to it than that? Scripture says, "More. Lots more," and Eldridge brings it right from the text.
Having received salvation in Christ, is your heart good or evil? The answer may surprise you, but I guarantee you'll be delighted to see it explained from the scriptures. HINT: "Second Adam"
There's just too much to get into it all; I'd have to copy the book for you. You'll have to read it for yourselves, and I strongly encourage that you do so.
