Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!
Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger
I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.
Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.
Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!
Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.
We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

It was a little chilly today. Only made it up to 70. (br-r-r-r-r-r-r!)
But the drive home was great. Traffic was light, and the morning was "stellar" (as my friend in NY says...)
However, I had only just unloaded the truck when my neighbor showed up with his dogs...looking for a treat. And some for his dogs, too.

As for being a conservative PoliSci major--we're definitely in the minority. And I'm not afraid to mention FR (and my activities in front of said lefty wingnut either).
Do us this favor: don't conform to their view of conservatives. In other words, try not to sound like a 'Bot. Treat them--the lefty wingnut and dirty hippies in question--with the utmost respect at all times. You have no idea how your words and actions affect professors, even if they don't show it. Closing yourself off from them and speaking in seemingly esoteric conservative lingo only makes things worse.
If I've learned anything from the life of G.K. Chesterton, it is that you will be known by how you treat others. Those you deal with in the realm of ideas may give more consideration to what you say as a result, though they may disagree vehemently.
This has been the "So you want to be in Political Science?" pep talk. We now return you to regularly scheduled silliness already in progress...
To: Das Outsider
I know.
The dirty hippies and the professor act like slimeballs. To act like them is to stoop down to their level.
Back to the thread silliness.

Back to the thread silliness.
So as I was telling Mavis--that's muh pet dingo--I says, "Mavis, it's high time you start wearin' trousers. It ain't dignified to be about the town, frolickin' and cavortin' in yer nakedness!" You know what she says to me? Boy, I oughta! She says to me, she says, "It's all fun an' games till somebody loses an eye--unless yer playin' 'Let's Lose an Eye.' Wubba, wubba."
Now you know what they say about dingos and trousers: if the dingo don't wear 'em, the other animals won't either. See, I got this fish...
To: Monkey Face
But hey, it got up to 60 around here (southeast Wisconsin).
60's in early April is not common at all ;)

Yes. I remember. My son was born at Gt. Lakes, IL, and his dad was from SD. Three long years of ugly weather is all that was.
Which is why I'm staying in the desert. The humidity was 41% this morning with a low of 51 degs, and my poor little truck didn't want to start. She's a desert girl, just like me!
