Talk about a wild night near Seguin. A cow came flying out of its trailer, sent DPS and police scrambling, and left two police cars going up in flames.
"It was almost hard to believe," said Detective Sergeant Maureen Watson. She has been in law enforcement for 15 years, and says she "never had a day like this. I mean the best way to characterize this it, is it's bizarre. It's really really strange."
It's strange because it started out with a truck towing cattle, and ended in fire.
Watson told News 4 WOAI, "We believe the gate of the cattle trailer came open, and the cow, for lack of a better phrase spilled out onto the Interstate. It was pretty chaotic for a while."
Several cars hit some of the cows. One cow died. DPS troopers called for backup.
That's when one officer was nearly run down by a speeding truck, carrying two illegal immigrants inside.

Well, I could just do an objective analysis, saying it was just another day in rual Law Enforcement, pointing out the locals parked on tall dry grass w/ hot catalytic converters, but that would be no fun
Th cows burst out of the trailer in an attempt to jump over the full moon. The illegals, seeing the ensuing carnage, went for the only thing left edible, the head, yelling "Barbacoa"
The keen eyed cops on scene, knowing barbacoa is only available on weekends in Texas, took this as probable cause that they were illegals, and gave chase.
An unattended Glock assault Taser went off for no apparent reason, hit a cow, causing the remaining fur to burst into flames, igniting the tinderbox dry grass caused by Orwellian watering restrictions.
Smelling the burning meat, the cops and the illegals returned, thinking the BBQ had begun. The DPS troopers sent two of the locals into town for cold Shiner and potato salad. On the return, they were in a hurry to get a prime cut and cold one, they parked a little too close to the grass.
The illegals, seeing the flaming cars, knew they were gonna take the blame and tried to run, again.
Representatives from Seguin city council said they would consider new cars for the dpeparment "When Pigs fly out my..."
