LONDON Six men who became ill during a drug trial remained in serious condition in a London hospital Thursday.
Two of the men were listed in critical condition, Northwick Park Hospital said in a statement.
Raste Khan one of two men given a placebo in the trial said the six had been stricken within a few minutes of receiving the drug.
Relax...They are only Little People, called "Subjects", and there is nothing they can do about the National Health, except to pay for it.
Much as I love visitng the place, I would rather be a sick dog at Angell Memorial Vetinary Hospital here, than a kidney patient there.
A girlfriend of one of them was on TV yesterday or this morning and said her BF was a hunk and now he looks like the Elephant Man. I never heard what they think this is.
I really wanted to know, because I was sitting here also looking like the Elephant Woman (just both eyelids and under-eyes) from an allergic reaction I had to something four days earlier and wanted to get a clue about mine from what other things might cause it besides shellfish, pollen and stress.
Testees testees 1 2 3 testees.
My testes are just peachy....
Ah, I forgot the link:

Is that 'testes'?
you must be very flexable to know that.
Somebody has a sense of ODD humor ....
I took my cat there in Massachusetts, and he received very good care indeed. I would agree.
Yes, and my friends prize Afghan also.
However, I have a friend in Yorkshire who is STILL waiting for the NHS lithotriptor van to make it out her way. Ever have a kidney stone?
What a sad commentary that our Parent Nation treats its people worse than we treat our pets.
This is why I go on rants about "Any politican who advocates Socialized Medicine needs to speedily be hanged from the nearest lampost". It always develops that they do not intend these services for THEMSELVES. Just the Little People.
Wow! Once we "progress" to hillarycare, remind me never to volunteer for a government drug study!
Why yes...I did have a kidney stone...
I travelled eight hours to see a Patriots-Buffalo Bills game with a bunch of guys in a camper. The morning of the game, I began to pass the stone...I didn't want to bum out the other guys, so I got my ticket from my buddy, told him I would be back, and walked two miles through the pouring rain to a doc-in-the-box place, where the stone passed. They wanted to admit me and do more tests, but the blood in the urine was proof enough...they gave me percocet, and one of the nurses drove me back to the game in her car, and I made it in before halftime.
All the season ticket guys have names like "Steak Tip", "Halftime", "Bad Back", "El Gropo", and so on.
My nickname is now "Kidney Stone"...:)
FYI, this testing was carried out by an American owned private drug company, nothing to do with the NHS, apart from the NHS hospital that saved their lives.
Oh, DARN! My favourite rant ruined!!!! :-)
I hope to do better next time!
