Woke up this morning and it was rank. What causes that smell?

Maybe Rebelbase knows, but "papaya" means this in Spanish.

Yeah, you can always just pee on it. The papaya works better though.

Papayas ripen RAPIDLY. You have to eat them at exactly the right time. BTW, we had a papaya tree when I was a kid. We treated each papaya on that tree VERY CAREFULLY. One thing we did, was enclose each papaya fruit on that tree with plastic wrapping to keep the bugs and birds off.

What kind of mango is that? Kennedy mangos here in Florida also grow to very large sizes. The Kennedy mangos are not naturally grown trees. They are the result of grafting. We had such a tree in our yard. When the mangos were almost ripe, the branches of the trees would be bent over due to the weight of the fruit. It looked like that mango tree would have a hernia. Some of the mangos were just inches off the ground.

Seriously though, "papaya" in this case is a euphemism for something else, right?

I guess we have an answer to the musical question "Does Your Papaya Get A Stink Smell When Left Out Overnight?"

We had those huge mangos when I was kid in Fla. There was no greater joy for 13 year-old than luring friends into range of the blower while mowing the yard and then running across all the rotten mangos on the ground.

It was. But I also thought it suited the "randomness" of this thread rather well.

By the way, thanks so much for pinging me to this. I haven't had such a good laugh in ages. :-)

I know.

This is right up there with the "unnnngh" thread, isn't it?

:P

I was surprised by how much I liked Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas.

Johnny Depp is one of the better actors in Hollywood, but I don't usually like American films, especially ones that are adaptations of widely acclaimed, best-selling books.

Supposedly they've done a total hatchet-job on Thank You For Smoking.

Not that I expected much from Neil LaBute-whose other films I kind of like-but I'm kind of disappointed that they ruined a novel written by one of my favorite authors.

Leave it to Tinseltown.

:(
