I'm gonna miss old Chef, but I notice he had no problems taking checks for insulting everyone else (most of those insults being merited, including, yes, those directed at those who see the Virgin Mary in grilled cheese sandwiches).

Well...blood spewing out of the vagina of the Virgin Mary is certainly crude...she is an important Christian symbol....such a picture is certainly ridiculous...put 2 and 2 together.

I'm not defensive, I just find things like this funny. People getting their panties in a twist over a cartoon parody, talking about a crude episode against Christianity (it was actually about people thinking a statue can perform miracles, or idol worship) while calling someone an "effin slimeball", on a thread about hypocrites, that is funny...
Um, Partner, they never depicted blood spewing out of the vagina of the Virgin Mary. What was shown was blood spewing out of the vagina of a statue of the Virgin Mary. That's all... just a piece of rock carved into a pretty shape.

Sorry, I think SP humor is crude and slimy...ergo the slimeball remark. And I think you must agree...SP humor is crude and slimy...except that you appreciate that kind of humor and I don't. So be it.
The fact that it was cartoon statue makes it no less crude. The Virgin Mary painting in dung or a bucket of urine is equally offensive and slimy. And yes, I think the artist in both cases is a slimeball!
I agree with Donahue, though he explained his objections in far less provacative terms as I did.
I am for freedom of speech...SP has a wide audience that loves the show and so they should have their show....I watched about 10 minutes of it and hated it as is my right.

If he'd simply said "I quit, they are making fun of MY religion now," I'd hold him in a better frame of mind. To claim Matt and Trey are somehow now religious bigots with all the things they have taken a shot at over the years, this is where he falls into the loss of repsect side of things for me.
Too bad, I loved his sex-songs, they were a riot.
B) I asked that same question on another thread yesterday, and another poster pointed out that it would be better to keep chef, but have a different voice actor every week. Imagine, for instance, Richard Simmons or Dave Chapelle as Chef. It would make the point that SP doesn't need Hayes to be successful.
They already did. Several times. Over and over.
Ever hear of "Team America: World Police"? Or their season episode 5 making fun of terrorists who speak by saying "Durka durka muhummad durka jyhad durka durka"?
Or the super friends? Which has all the leaders of the world religions, including Muhummad, as superheroes who join together to fight ridiculous criminals?
Watch the show before you cast stones and mud.
I don't think any major religion has missed their attention.
Hinduism really hasn't been hit that hard, but then, they're not big news. And they have been hit a few times.
Too bad the South Park creators already spoofed themselves. And continue to do so. All the time.
Plus, their movies have ridiculous versions of themselves as the main characters, or major supporting characters.
"Cannibal: the Musical", "Baseketball", "Orgasmo" (the last being about a mormon porn star).
And South Park has been spoofed. All the time.
Plus, the show has jabs at itself all the time, too. It really is phenomenal. ;D
