I'm not defensive, I just find things like this funny. People getting their panties in a twist over a cartoon parody, talking about a crude episode against Christianity (it was actually about people thinking a statue can perform miracles, or idol worship) while calling someone an "effin slimeball", on a thread about hypocrites, that is funny...
Sorry, I think SP humor is crude and slimy...ergo the slimeball remark. And I think you must agree...SP humor is crude and slimy...except that you appreciate that kind of humor and I don't. So be it.
The fact that it was cartoon statue makes it no less crude. The Virgin Mary painting in dung or a bucket of urine is equally offensive and slimy. And yes, I think the artist in both cases is a slimeball!
I agree with Donahue, though he explained his objections in far less provacative terms as I did.
I am for freedom of speech...SP has a wide audience that loves the show and so they should have their show....I watched about 10 minutes of it and hated it as is my right.
