Not sure what you mean by that, but he's a scientologist.
Nobody cares? South Park threads routinely draw a huge amount of interest from a wide variety of Freepers.
"I guess he's a Catholic."
Ahhh...to follow up on my previous response, apparently Mr. Hayes is a Scientologist.
Not quite. .....23 posts in 10 minutes. ....and counting.
My comment about him being a catholic relates to an earlier thread about his quitting SP ... the article posted in the earlier thread said nothing about Hayes' religion but did mention the recent "Bloody Mary" episode of SP.
No problem. They belong in Chat, though, not in News. Entertainment stuff belongs in Chat. There's more than enough to browse through On FR in News.
The fact that some actor quit South Park is irrelevant to anything of any importance. Thus, Chat.
Ah, of course. I forgot about that one.
I guess it's ok to make fun of everything but scientology..
sad..
I agree that it goes in chat, I'm just arguing that there is interest. Of course, the threads aren't as much fun now that O.C._Old Cracker is gone.
Isaac Hayes apparently isn't much of a thought unit......
Exactly. Damn, I like the Chef character... I wonder if Parker and Stone will keep him and just replace the voice, or will Chef be "offed" in some way...
"G'bye dere, chil'ren!"
"BYE CHEF!"
EveningStar has been banned.
Technochick, can you ping me to any discussion on Starman's banning? I have discussed this with him at length. Thanks.
Hypocrisy from a Scientologist? Say it ain't so!
EveningStar was banned for something. They're talking about it over in the other thread discussing this story.
Nor did he mind the mormon episode, which I think trashed the mormon faith more than anything they've done about christians.
When they first did the episode, I remember us all discussing whether Isaac would quit. We noted he wasn't on the episode, and frankly I can't remember if he's been on one since that episode, which was one of their funnier episodes, especially how the credits at the end everybody was John smith or Jane smith.
Hey, I agree with you on this. Of course I always do a general browse so I see everything in reverse post time order regardless of where the threads end up, so long as they aren't deleted.....
Stone told The AP he and co-creator Trey Parker "never heard a peep out of Isaac in any way until we did Scientology. He wants a different standard for religions other than his own, and to me, that is where intolerance and bigotry begin."
gotta love it.
