Cheese Spill Backs Up Interstate 75 in Dayton Dated: 03/13/2006 12:43:01 AM Updated: 03/13/2006 11:51:05 AM
Police shut down lanes on Interstate 75 Sunday night, after an accident left the highway covered with cheese.
A semi truck lost its load of Velveeta cheese around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Cheese spilled out onto the southbound lanes of I-75 at the Main Street overpass in Dayton.
Traffic was backed up for about two hours before they could clean up the mess.

I remember a similar incident reported in Switzerland a while back, but the authorities poked holes in the driver's story...They grilled the man, a real pro, for several hours, and wouldn't leave the provolone.

I'm afraid they might be churned out well into the night. But the whole process does keep us off the streets.

Wow, what a terrible whey to spend a Sunday evening! The people who witnessed it probably could havartly brie-lieve what they had just seen. It had to be NOT gouda for those stuck in such a munster-ous back up -- Especially those a-whey from home & travelling through the area, & found themselves bleu in the face needing to use the Parma-John.
