You said you lost weight on Jenny Craig? How is that going?
It is going good.. I have kept my weight off.. I do it by working out and swim laps..
That is great!
Well after constant nagging from Mrs Kevindavis and my parents, the weight is going to stay off.
LOL!
I've found that so much of weight loss is mental. Not looking at diet and exercise as a punishment, but as healthy lifestyle changes. People don't stay in shape by pulling a chair up to the buffet and laying on the couch. We have to choose to get and stay healthy.
That was my choice too... I feel so much better...
Thanks for the ping. I tried Dreamfields Pasta that was mentioned on the initial thread. Great stuff. It doesn't taste like a low carb pasta.
Howdy! Here is my weight loss story. I had babies back to back and my body pretty much shuts down while pregnant. I can barely walk up steps without muscle burn, and if I did go without it, I would get motion sickness and not want to move anyway. I have participated in sports my whole life and never had to worry about weight. Even when I wasn't on a team after college, I worked out, played pick up b-ball at the rec center, swam in a master swim program, did Tang Soo Do, ran, rock climbed, mountain biked, tennis and hiked. Yes, I am a very active person. Since the kiddos came, I am much less active, but still liked to eat like I was active. I started losing weight, but then would reward myself and slack off or hit a plateau and get discouraged. Granted I wasn't terribly huge, but I was embarrassed when I saw people.
Last fall, I got serious about losing weight and did pretty well. Then I had a massive setback called my yearly exam. I found out my scale was off by 7 pounds and not in a good way. I got very determined after the initial shock passed, and of course the feelings of anger towards the nurse practioner who believed their scale was correct. I had to play in an alumni basketball game January 16 at my university. I wanted to not be the frumpy housewife around my former teammates. Of course, I didn't lose weight, but I did tone up. I was walking on the treadmill 5 days a week and got a weight training circuit video. I used to run, but I have been having problems with tingling in my 3rd toe (I think it is a neuroma, swollen nerve) so went back to walking. I have lost 8 pounds since January 16, I may have lost 10 pounds, but when I had some luck on the scale, I assumed it was wrong and moved the needle back 2 pounds. If I lost another 5 pounds, I would be very happy, if I lost 10, I would be down to my weight when I got married and played b-ball in college. That would be amazing for me...
btw, I have an appoint with a podiatrist about the feet, hopefully a shot of cortizone and orthotics will fix my feet. Darn kids, my feet changed so much!!!

Good for you! Sounds like it really turned your life around.
Me too. I fell in love with the Tropicana sugar free lemonade.
Have you tried the south beach pizza?
That was something I learned from the book I've been talking about. It was an eye opening thing for me too:)
Becky
Good points!
No. How are they?
Pretty good and they're really high in fiber.
