Okay, I will accept the compliment for tonight's and I will also accept the compliment for Tuesday's (which was my biggest cartoon ever, clocking in at 500 responses).
Thank you, thank you.
Any word on who's doing the singles thread tonight?
To quote from the Guinness commercials: "Brilliant!"
I'm not sure. I will try to be there (I only have the internet on my computer at school) but not sure, I have quite a bit of school work to do. If you have a ping-list, will you add me to it?
That's pretty good. Did he create those clips all by himself?
Finally! Someone does a Guinness beer reference!
If you want to know about the singles thread tonight, he's probably the one to ask. He's been the person who was in charge as well as the person who started it. But lately now he gets other people to do it for him.
I don't have an up-to-date copy of the singles ping list, no.
I have no idea about the clips, BTW.
I like the new intro piece - it reminds me of "Merrie Melodies".
Yeah, that's what it's based on.
The thing is though, the Looney Toons and Merry Melodies all have their main characters' heads popping out of the big circle thing, but they always looks happy and overjoyed and are waving their arms or whatever. In the grand spirit of the Left, my characters are looking less-than-enthused. The Donkey is angry and miserable and the shark has a blank expression on his face, like he always does.
Okay, cause it usually takes about two seconds to throw graphics on a page. I was just wondering if he built the gif files himself, that's all.
If he did, I should ask him how to do it.
I have to admit that the shark is actually one of my favourite characters.
Yeah, he and the talking pig (from Dinklemeyer) are fan favorites for some reason. I guess they just have that appeal to them.
I think the shark may be my favorite character, too. Because it's just funny how he's so cold, unemotional, and business-like about everything. Like a real shark.
And like the real mainstream media, he bashes Bush constantly, but he does it with a certain professional coldness.
It's fast approaching 10 o'clock here now. I'm getting concerned about the singles thread.
Who has the ping list? I say go ahead and start one.
Ping the singles list and tell them all its here tonight. You'll get a lot of hits on your thread for sure.
Cut and paste the ping list from last week.
