I think its the skinks that are poisonous. Our cat would stumbling inside every so often, and we were told it was because she ate a lizard.

She slept it off and was fine :)

My uncle's cat lived to be 23.

Was he an indoor cat? My vet said that indoor cats have a better chance of living to ripe, old kitty-ages.
