Atlanta attorney B.J. Bernstein has filed Wilson's appeal.

What an inconvenient name for this case.

The other charge was the 15 year old oral sex, which had consent. the 15 year old was not intoxicated.

Then this kid should not be in prison.

This is, as my 16 year old daughter just said, "retarded."

He was acquitted on the rape charge with the other 17 year old, and convicted on engaging in oral sex with a 15 year old.

I suppose that if everyone who was involved in a situation like this was in jail for ten years, there would be no room for criminals.

Even jurors frowned on the charge. "A bad law, absolutely," Manigault said.

So acquit, you idiot.

... and apparently, the 15 yr old was *ahem* 'servicing' a number of the youths. If you want to stick someone in jail, it should be her parents/guardians- or better yet, keep the government out of this.

This isn't some 40yr old molesting a child, its a bunch of teenagers whose morals are way out of wack- something a jail sentence won't fix.

Seems like a prosecutor didn't use the discretion that prosecutors are given in order to avoid cases like this.

And it seems like the jury should have practiced some jury nullification here.

Or no grade, perhaps. I had a high school friend who graduated at 16 while most of his peers were 18 then so the age span when he *was* 15 would've been the same as the 15/17 case.

Consensual teen sexual activity, however ill advised, it not on par with child molestation.

>>Flame away protectors of the 20th century social order.>>

My kids were raised to be responsible adults when they hit 13. No teenage period of getting away with childish things without answering for them. That is a western concept. I reject it, at least for my kids.

Worked great. No criminal records. All six in or through college. No pre-marital pregnancies. No drunks, druggies or unemployed people. It's called RESPONSIBILITY.

There is no such word in the teenage years. Prove me wrong with facts.

Maybe I'm an old stick in the mud, but I find few things more disgusting than young women having sex with lots of guys, treating sex like it's a party game, etc. I've never understood this type of behavior, such as groupies lining up to have sex with band guys, and even having sex with the roadies. What the hell is that all about and what kind of people do it?

I know that it was consensual," he told "Primetime." "I wouldn't went on with the acts if it wasn't consensual. I'm not that kind of person.
