Just something on my mind. Did anyone notice that Whoopie Goldberg's movie Doogal tanked. She keeps resurfacing but I don't believe she is very popular. Most children's movies do very well at least in their first week. I would be willing to bet that if she wasn't in it the movie would have been more successful. Do you suppose that John McCain will participate in a senate hearing to determine wheather or not the American public is guilty of sensorship for not going to see it? I can barely remember the Dixie Chicks but wasn't it Clear Channel that was accused of pulling them off the air for political resons? When they were simply obeying their customers? I don't mind a celebrity having an opinion one way or the other but they should understand that there are consequenses for their actions. I myself thought the Shawshank Redemption was a great movie that I never tired of watching but I simply cannot enjoy it anymore because of the mischaracterizations made of our president in what could be the most serious time in our contry's history by the star of the film. I'm not boycotting Bon Jovie, John Coughar, The Dixie Chicks or now even (and this one hurt most of all) The Stones etc... but I simply cannot enjoy them anymore knowing that they have tried to use their celebrity status to undermine the effort our president has put forth. Where were they when Clinton was dropping bombs on the Serbs? If we all stood together in the beging and showed the strengh that we can posses, we could be alot further along now than we are. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that the Oscar ratings will be low. I could be wrong.

Doogal? Never heard of it. Actually, I stopped watching Hollywood's productions about 10 years ago. I don't miss them.

Anyone seen "Larry the Cable Guy - Health Inspector" yet?My 13-year old grandson can't wait to see it!
I think I'd enjoy that more than any of this year's Oscar-nominated trash.

Hollywood is putting up the Oscar show tonight the same way (and for the same reason) a flare signal is launched from a sinking ship.

I wish the other channels would not throw up their hands in defeat, and instead put on some competetive programming.
The result is the worst TV night of the year. I'll bet that even the porn channels are probably showing "R" and even "PG" films, until after the Oscars.
