Family Says Christmas Lights Company Left Them Hanging

A Frisco family is trying to shine a light on a holiday business that was supposed to brighten the Christmas spirit.

Two months after Christmas, lights are still lit above Angela Mason's home.

Her family prepaid a company called Holiday Spirit Lighting to install and remove the lights within two weeks after New Year's Day.

"They use a special adhesive to put the lights up, so the concern is if we go and remove it ourselves, what kind of damage will it do to our home?" Mason said.

The man, who ran the business from his apartment, moved over a month ago.

His business message says if anyone leaves him a nasty message concerning taking down their lights, they can "have fun taking their own lights down."

The business owner is a cheat, the home owner, must not be a Missisippi Girl.

Or soap and water, most of the adhesives are weak such as a foamy tape.

I think they'll figure it out soon enough...

Maybe I'm an elitist, but I figure if you have the $$ to have someone else hang up your Christmas lights then you probably have the $$ to have someone else take them down.

Or, if you're lazy enough to want to pay someone...which is why I always do my own lights.

And 14 years ago, Frisco was a rural town of 500.

Heck, why not leave them up. That way, they won't have to put them up this year.

The Christmas Season is only nine months away.
