Don't know. I just used it in math. Plus, I can't dance at all.

Probably...the snow level is at 3000' and we're at 2700+ so I'd say it's a pretty good chance. However, I'm NOT going out to check! It's still too cold, even though it has stopped raining.

The British TV station, Channel 4, certainly blurs the line between news and entertainment!!

Ah, yes--I know Channel 4. I believe it may be worse than the local news in L.A.

Anyone know how to make a metaphor from 'monkey' and 'washing machine?'

How is it going today?

Is the water running off, or is the ground able to absorb it?

In the mountains, it's absorbed, but here on the desert floor, which has been baked solid for thousands of years, it runs off. That's why we have flash floods. The water has nowhere to go.

Thankyou both for the good wishes and prayers for those affected... it's looking pretty awful, from the TV coverage (eyewitness reports put it as the worst cyclone in living memory)...

As for FEMA, erm, thanks but... no thanks! ;-)

If you get too much rain, does the ground finally turn to mush?
