That must be the Easter "big one." Yah. That's always one of my favorites. As if I need to be reminded...;o]
Uh, hello? Arbor Day?
Kidding aside, I just noticed a funny little connection between Arbor Day and Easter.

"Yah. I know about that long flight. I spent a month in Pakistan, and it seemed I was never going to quit flying." On a long trip like that, you don't really cover any territory. The plane just goes up, and you have to wait for the world to rotate beneath you.

Back...
Went out and removed the winter's collection of moss from the driveway, took care of a few little things, then hauled some more of the walkway away. Hope I didn't overdue it...

Sounds like you had a busy afternoon. I tried watching movies, but about 3/4 of the way through Pirates of the Carribean, I shut it off. My attention span is about 1/2" long today. :o[
I hope you can rest tomorrow.

The plane just goes up, and you have to wait for the world to rotate beneath you. Almost... during that 16 hours we were in the air (taking off well after midnight), sunrise drew closer by about 4 hours.

Movies... I'd probably be better off doing that...
I just learned about apps for the cellphone. Installed the Opera Mini browser, so now I can can get traffic updates on the cell. (Not that I drive very often in any place where the traffic flow maps would do me any good -- though it might be handy in the D.C. area in a month.)
Amusing to look at all the games and things written for the cell..
No rest until tomorrow afternoon, though. Group dinner with the bishop in a couple of hours, and I'm on deck as his "chaplain" (assistant) at the service tomorrow.
Hopefully you'll be doing better tomorrow...

It's "that time" again, gang. I'm outta here!
As an aside: The anti-Bush/war demonstration here in town, supposedly to protest at the recruiting station downtown, was overwhelmed by FReepers who showed up and took all the parking spots at the recruiting office. And they had a band! But was the news fair and balanced?
NO WAY!! I'm going to email them, for what good it will do...
'Night!

I'm always hopeful that "tomorrow" will be a better day for me. Thanks for the thought! I learned a long time ago that I had to roll with the punches if I was going to survive this thing with my sanity...well, some of it, anyway...;o]

Ugh. The Internet connection issues continue. The cell connection dies, but the dialup is working now...

But was the news fair and balanced? Of course not. But I've seen that kind of thing here in Seattle for at least the past 15 years.

I just emailed the station and told them if they kept it up their kids and grandkids would be speaking Arabic and the women will all be wearing burkhas.
Ticked me off, it did. I told them it's probably a good thing treason wasn't prosecuted today, because they'd all be in jail.

I know all about treason going unpunished - the Irish government stands by an does nothing about the IRA's criminal conspiaracy against Irish democracy!!

TV news was never intended to be fair and/or balanced. It's theatre.
