The Hobbit Hole XXVIII - Through shadows to the edge of night
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Through shadows to the edge of night

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I don't have a faucet problem, but I do have an icemaker problem on thenewfridge. I replaced the water filter and since I did the icemaker hasn't been working.

I reset the filter Wednesday night, and if I did that right it ~should have~ started making ice again last night. If that didn't do it, I'm clueless 'cause I've done everything else on the troubleshooting list.

Heh heh! I just got done looking at mine. The paycheck isn't in it yet, but I enjoy looking at the "in the black" balance!

I can't help ya there.....I don't have an ice making machine.

I just hope my wrench inventory is up to the task.

How old is the fridge? It always seems that the icemaker is the first to go.

But if you've tried everything else, be sure to check the water line feeding into the fridge.

A broken icemaker is what caused the mold problem at my house. :-/

Hmmm... mine seems higher than it should be. Once it actually goes through I'll have to look and see. Maybe we got a pay increase and I didn't know?

Is it from the lack of cost associated with the trip here?

We just bought this in October/November.

The water is working okay. There's just something on there that needs to be reset and so far nobody (the owner's manual or the store) can tell me what/where that is.

I'll try again tonight.

Nope, because I was down to my last ten bucks of last month's paycheck. But the "pending" column is higher than I expected.

Last month's was a little higher than usual too. I think maybe the grad students got a raise this semester and it's just March was the first month long enough for it to accumulate much. I should ask the secretaries or something.

That works too... right, cuz if I ask, someone might notice and say "that's not right, we'd better take it back."

:-D

We have done watermelons. I have not done them in a pot, but I guess you could. They need ~lots~ of water (which is why ours are always so tiny).

Re: Spanish, there is a program called Muzzy you can try, and there is La Clase Divertida. Both are DVD. Muzzy has a website ( http://www.early-advantage.com/ ), but you will have to call 1-888-248-0480 to order, methinks. You can get La Clase Divertida at http://www.funclase.com/

What a pain. I'm sure you'll get it working though.

Maybe you'll get really lucky and it'll be full of ice when you get home. :-D

Well, it ~should have~ been making ice by this morning, but the Mrs. says it wasn't. I'll just need to make sure once again that I've got the filter in the right way. And thesalesladyatsears said there's a lever to turn the icemaker on or off. But I haven't found that yet and it's not shown in the owner's manual.

I think some models have a reset button inside of the refrigerator - near the top where the filter indicator light is.

You may have to hold that down for a few seconds.

There was a filter reset on the front. I just need to look more better.
