Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good evening!
The jedis are at RAs. I'm supposed to be taking a hot soak, I'll do it in a bit.
I can still barely breath!

Whatcha sippin'? Something hot, I hope!
I got the DVD I won on ebay today. "The Electric Grandmother". It's only 50 minutes long, so Becky and I just finished watching it.
It's a cute movie. Very sweet ending.
I remember watching it on one of those Saturday morning kids' movie shows when I was younger.

Merlot. Room temp.

This is the last of the Old Vinyards, so to speak...they've discontinued my favorite boxed wine. I might can still find it, but the winery has quick making it. Eventually I won't be able to find it.
I like it because it's reasonably priced and it doesn't taste awful and it keeps just fine in the cabinet.

Hmmm... I'd like to open a bottle tonight but I usually limit myself to one a week, opened Fridays and drunk over the weekend.

That looks... interesting. Is it legal?States have reglations on the minimum muzzle energy needed for firearms deer hunting. I don't think anyone has a maximum.
The only "gotcha" might be "unsafe discharge of a firearm". Even there, many rifles will have a danger zone much longer (but a whole lot narrower) than the canister round.
To: 300winmag
Interesting. It looks a little like the hunting equivalent of fishing with dynamite, to me.

True enough, though in MO I believe it would not be legal for deer. Multiple shot from a smooth bore is considered buckshot therefore not legal deer. I believe 10 gauge is largest smooth bore allowed for deer.

Something very interesting just happened...

I know, I know! ~sigh~
Not too worried though. They're bound to take another hiatus soon and all we'll have are repeats again. :-P

Back from choir/youth/rangers. Waiting for Luke to finish his snack.
Jr. needs the computer to do ~homework~ so we won't be interfering with that.
Wife's had the barfs all day.
So, there's that.
