Good!
Our secretaries are all wonderful. Sometimes they don't get back to me on time but mostly they are nice ladies who want to be sure all their little charges get things right.
Terrific report!!! :~D
*glaring*
You're lucky I love you as much as I do. :-P
I think it'll be OK - they held to the rent amount, but she didn't seem to be privy to the conversation about half rent for April. I'll let Rosie fill in the other details.
It ended up more or less OK, though I feel like a crook for holding my side of things. She apparently generally handles tenants, and he hadn't told her any of what was agreed on before she stepped in - and claimed not to remember things like the e-mail message I sent. *sigh*
I paid a pet deposit, which I'm OK with, and agreed to half-rent for April. Really had to fight on the security deposit, but she waived it in the end after a good bit of pleading. Grr... I'm just glad everything is now down in writing.
And I told her I'm getting a dog and that I'd bought the fridge (though the response to that was, "Well, we would have done that if you'd let us know..." But I promised it was *not* going with me when I leave, so I think we're OK on that score. And I at least paid them something. They know I'm committed.
I also mentioned something about my job - the one I'll be starting - and the landlord wanted to know what it was. He seemed pleasantly surprised when I told him. Not the sort of job where I should have any trouble making rent payments, hopefully...
They'll be pleased with you as soon as they see you taking better care of the place than the slobs they usually rent to (and never got rent from)
They're coming off of bad tenants who never paid rent, had to be evicted, and left the place a dump. They've probably never made money on that place ever. A couple months from now, they'll think you're a dream tenant.
Nice! Sure is great to get things in writing for a change. Secure feeling are nice.
On my way over - as soon as I can herd the kittens back in :~D
Wait, *that* was enough of a report for you to stop yellin' at them?
Good luck...
Need to figger out where my hotel is...
They had the advantage. What with having photographic evidence and all.
Bah! It's foolish to leave that sort of evidence around. Enemies could use it.
Then we went out and picked up the girls from school, and I get to meet them!
Aly looking through the CD collection and picking out some good ZZTop. She's got good taste in music, this kid.
Becky not quite getting time to tell me not to take her picture until it was too late.
On the way to her house, Ruthy almost turns away in time to escape the camera.
Arrived at the house... palm trees, coconuts...
The amazing Avocado tree that came back to life... note that it was cut off about five feet high and stood back up after the hurricane. Complete with sunflower that appeared outta nowhere.
It seems like everybody there has tile floors throughout the whole house. I found it really interesting. Maybe this would keep parties from always ending up in the kitchen, since the whole house seems like a kitchen. :-)
Crabs. Big suckers.
Ruthy at the Freepstation... telling me not to take her picture...
We decided to use the hotel as a convenient base of operations for daily excursions... the girls thought it was a grand adventure. Though, Aly kept calling it "Ramius's" House. Apparently she thought that I lived in this really, really big house with some guy at the front desk, and marble entrance, and elevators. Somehow it never bothered her that it was a lot smaller on the inside than on the outside.
Whatever it was, it's great that she was a help and not a hindrance for him.
You going to Redstone or Marshall?
Good grief, the girls have gotten so big! Aly's truly not a 'baby' anymore!! And Becky is just a Ruthy clone!
Huntsville. Lots of my colleagues don't like that area, but I do. Pleasant folks.
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
