Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I have to take Clare to the RMV local office. She got her license in December, but has never received the actual License Card from the RMV.

Need a test post to make sure I've got this right...
Sooo... here's a pic of a big doe I took last week. She came up off the beach through my yard, then hopped over to the neighbors and walked right past my window while I was sitting there at my computer.

Pretty good size, for a Blacktail doe in western WA.

It works and it's a great picture!
(May be a bit big for dial-up folks though.)
I can't wait to see Becky's face when she sees something like that. :-)

Yeah, that's a little big. I think I resized most of the the others considerably smaller.

Been over making some more progress on Rosie's fence. Coming in for a break before building another corner. Still not a 100% and get kinda headachy and shaky out there workin, but I think Rosie's got better arms than she started with, she's still eager to keep goin'.

The landlord's wife came up when I went to the store and said she wanted Rosie to come sign an agreement.
I hope that's good. I do think it's good to formalize the agreement so it's not so uncertain. I hope they hold to the arrangements and rent amount I worked out verbally with him. I didn't go over there with her because I don't really get the feeling he likes me much and I really don't want them to think I'm in the middle of it. They need to work with Rosie, not just me :~D
But I hope they don't jerk her around. The wife that wants to do the paperwork wasn't privy to all the conversations I had with the husband. ~fret~

Oh - I'm fine, I just don't have the stamina I used to when I was buildin' lots of fence. This has been a lazy, weak winter.

No, do push it!
No wait... go get a drink and kick back. That is what I really meant. It is too early in the year to be pushing anything :P
Is it time to go home yet?

OK... Here we go! Let's see if I can get this to work... I'm going to post pictures in bundles, not all on one post. I'll try a few and see how this goes. The adventure begins... Day one... The following happens between 9am and 11pm...

Ah, yes... have DVD player, will travel. I'm in the Seattle airport waiting to board, watching Indiana Jones get crushed by a big round rock and having the essential breakfast beer. [sip]

Got tickets? ...check.

Woohoo... O'Hare. Haven't been there in a long time, but that's OK, since it looks exactly the same.

Woohoo! Finally found the gate for my connection... Dang... O'Hare's a big place.

flying flying flying flying... ZZZZZzzzzz...

I do finally get there! And Ruthy was even there to pick me up! We opted for a late night breakfast... She had the Grand Slam and I had the "Moons over MyHammy". Somehow it seemed appropriate. She really hates it when I take her picture without any warning. Here she is telling me not to. :-)
