Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

How was Bush mountain? Did you ever put it in 4WD?

I'm gonna end up hurtin' someone if this awful pattern of an hour a day spent on the same idiotic question from 80 (literally, at this point) of the psych majors in the intro to computer class. If they would READ the email I sent in the first place, or the message posted to their class website, or the individual emails sent to them when they asked about the problem the first time.... if they could follow simple, simple instructions like "check your university email account".... if they wouldn't treat me like a moron who is lazy if I don't respond to their 3 a.m email within one hour of them sending it... my life would be so much better.
It's a really good thing break is just a day away.

Because of it, though, I rarely listen to the radio. If an ambulance is coming up behind me, I want to be able to hear it and my hearing is bad enough as is it. The jedis help me out with it...they'll say "Siren!" and then put their heads down until I see where the siren is coming from and pull over if need be.
(They put their heads down because I think it's undignified to stare at accidents and you never know when it's liable to be something I don't want them to see. They keep them down till I give them the all clear.)

No snow here. :-(
That *would* be something to see, though. The carnage out on bay area freeways would be ~epic~.

Are you playing head games with the psych majors?

See the dead tree branch? And see all those stumps? They're aren't stumps either, they are pieces of the pear tree that are left from when we cut it completely down. Steve burned that entire pear tree in the smoker except for these pieces.
We sit on the stumps too, but they aren't as comfy as the blue chair.

I bypassed Sapp Road - went around the long way. I only put it in 4WD on Trosper from about Kirsop Rd. to Black Lake.

Cool garden layout. We can't wait to live somewhere where it's feasible to have a garden!

Well, standing where I took the picture, the garden is on the right side of the back yard and the chickens are fenced in on the left side by the shop.

They're playing head games with me. The only games I'm likely to play with them are sniper games.

Well, I'm off. Be praying that things work out OK today!

I just think it's suspicious that it's only all the psych students that are having this trouble ;~D

That really looks good! We're having fried chicken tonight...no one you know, it's the last of what I bought at Doc's Country Mart. (It was on sale.)
