Through shadows to the edge of night

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,

Hey there... I got online after all... :-)
Still no power. But I'm getting dial tone for a modem connection. Have to use our 800 number to get a long distance trunk. Seems all the local trunks are fast-busy (no wonder why... everybody's probly doing the same thing).
Got hot water, and the plumbing seems to work. So there's that.
Got a flashlight and some extra batteries.
Soo... it ain't so bad. :-)

Yah, they must have a generator, for some limited lighting, the one elevator, and apparently the plumbing pressure and hot water. Just no lighting in the rooms or TV's, or networking.
...and apparently no power to the reefers for the kegs. They're giving away free beer while its still cold.
Could be worse. :-)
Only got one though. Not feeling the best today. Darn... free beer night, and I don't feel like it. Is there no justice in the world? :-)

But things aren't so bad. Got dvd player... put in Kingdom of Heaven.
The only thing that's missing is the TV, and I can live without that.

Hey, where is the best place to go to look at an image of the earth from outerspace and then bring it up close to... say Australia? I had thought there was a link posted here sometime ago that had high quality video of things like that?
