Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Very lucky :-)
Trying not to think that it'll be probably two months after that before we are together again... oh well, only six months until we're done waiting.

Oh yeah. I'm dreading the three-month wait after this visit. :-/
Here's hoping time flies!

I'll second that! Three months is pretty cruel but at least you'll be done waiting after that.

Yup. Thank goodness.
It won't seem like it was that long when we look back this time next year. ;-)

No, it sure won't! And believe me that helps. I think about that sometimes - "that was the last Christmas before I'm married"... "that was the last New Years' I'll be single"... and coming up pretty soon, the point where one year from now I'll have been married for six months...

How cool is that? And in the blink of eye, you'll be posting pics of the new baby.

Ack! Baby? Ack! What baby? No babies anytime soon!
No babies for a good long while. Like don't even ask for at least a year.
Though truthfully... I was in church Sunday and there were all these babies near me and I was getting the worst baby pangs. But I can handle it.

Hmm, probably true....
So, uh, are you thinking there's a possibility the girls might get a little brother or sister one of these years?

I didn't get out of work until quarter to seven this evening. Then home to bathe and feed the girls. Started some laundry too. Wife is out of town, I left the office at 5:00 p.m. then I...
- Stopped by the grocery store
- Came home and started dinner
- Did two loads of laundry
- Helped Jr. get the recycling to the curb
- Helped Luke with his homework
- Finished and served dinner
- Put away the leftovers (Nana did the dishes)
- Gave Luke a bath, read him Chapter 1 in The Voyage of the Dawntreader and put him to bed
And sat down here.
All I'm sayin' is if I can be that efficient, how come no one else in my household can?
To: JenB
That's entirely up to Ramius. I certainly don't have any qualms about the idea.
He's gonna have a trial by fire with the girls. But at least he'll have an idea what he's in for should another one come along. *grin*

It's a mystery to me, Corin.
As helpless as my mom acts sometimes, I wonder how she managed to raise three kids.

For once, it would be nice if they'd just try...

I know one thing, I'm so daunted by your sheer output, that I fear failure if I tried to keep up ;~D
Like today... I was spose to tell y'all about Rosie's interview, she called me to tell me all about it, but I got distra.... Anyone ever noticed that building there before?

Heh...I was just trying to figure out if that had gotten posted.
Man, I hope I hear back from them soon. I wish I'd had the thought (and guts) to ask them how many folks are left in the running. Grr...I wanna know how this will end NOW!
And I want the job even more now than I did. So there's that, too. Ungh.
To: RosieCotton
If you have email for them, it'd be a good idea to email them tonight and thank them for the interview, let them know you're very interested... :~D

I have e-mail for one, but not both.
But that's probably a good idea.
I just worry that the other person (whoever they are) has software development experience. That's one thing I ain't got. Granted, *mostly* this will be a support and installation position, but if the other person has more skills...well...
