Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

The preview for next week made it sound like someone else is going that way, too.
I suppose at least that gives us time to prepare.
Ungh.
To: RosieCotton
Well. If they kill off all the best characters, it will save me lots of time each week. ;-)

A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship... but it is not this day!

Mornin! What't the weather like out there? We're gradually warming all week until Friday when we hit close to 55, but it will be raining. Bah!

Mornin'. In a coupla hours I gots the follow up interview for the job I want most.
And once again, I'm agonizing over what to wear that's dressy enough for the interview, but casual enough for the rest of the day.
*sigh*
To: RosieCotton
Follow up? They called you back, in other words?? I'm so behind. You had a couple of interviews, right?? Now you have a followup?
Which is this one?
You'll do fine!

And once again, I'm agonizing over what to wear that's dressy enough for the interview, but casual enough for the rest of the day. *sigh* I'm with you. I have a meeting this afternoon, to which most of the men will wear jeans. I would rather wear jeans but it's really not appropriate so I have to figger out what to wear. Better to be overdressed than under, I always say.

Is it too warm to wear that lovely blue sweater? You could wear it with your khakis, then after the interview, change into a shirt that you wouldn't mind 'working' in .
