The Hobbit Hole XXVIII - Through shadows to the edge of night
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 02/24/2006 9:52:11 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Through shadows to the edge of night

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

More spoilers:

So do you think that now that Edgar and Carrie are gone, they'll have to bring Spencer back in because they need someone who knows the system?

It could happen...

It could happen.

Meanwhile, my prediction for the *real* crisis: a Constitutional crisis, with Logan and his VP duking it out over who gets to sit in the White House... just a SWAG though, no insider knowledge.

You may be right:I thought that about Logan when they brought in the VP that we haven't seen all season long. But my first impression was that he's dirty too. Still, I think Martha will take care of him. Logan's not gonna go against her again...she'll kill him...it's already too late to emasculate him...

So, there's that.

Oh, BTW, the actor playing the VP played Leland Palmer in "Twin Peaks", so you *know* he's evil.

Yeah, yer right...but they don't need to know that Martha and Logan didn't win Skating with Celebrities...

That may have been the most amazing news of the evening.

Yeah I don't even watch that show and I definitely agree with you. Were they wearing tutus? It's not ice skating without tutus.

Ooohh... those bastards. (not the terrorists... the @#$%ing writers!)

:-(

They simply cannot do this. It's wrong.

There must be something else they're going to do to deal with this. There's a few people they're just not allowed to kill off without me losing interest in the story.

He was number 3. That's a pretty low number.
