Through shadows to the edge of night

Yep, they're on tonight. I couldn't name all five best picture nominees.

Back from the theatre. It was a sappy flick, but cute.
I think that Splash was the best possible movie one ~could~ make about mermaids.
The one we saw tried to re-do it as a "tween" film. Bah.

Evening, decided that grilled catfish sounded tasty so off to the Hickory Pit we went and saw an old friend and his wife there, retirement apparently suits them well.

Hi, Oscar Night Again, but there seems to be no 'Ladies Guild' thread -- the "I'm boycotting" thread seems to be the official thread.
As for best movie, what are the candidates:
1) Gay shepherds (NOT cowboys)
2)Gay anti-death penalty writer
3)Transsexual Desperate Housewife
4)Anti- Anti-Communist
5)Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Cash.
Let's all give Reese Witherspoon and Johnny Cash a hand and call it a night! It looks like one of those times I wanted to dive a plane into the Oscars and destroy Hollywood I succeeded. Let's bring back Gandalf and his 'boy-toy'!
