Wow. He really looks more BC than lab in that pic! The horses are like "ooooo"! How do they react to dogs on the same side of the fence with them? All of the horses at my barn detest dogs.
There are no storms in the Gulf right now.
Yes there is, you just can't see it yet.
Bay would pick him up in his teeth if he could ;~D He picked up my lab a couple of times :~\ My dogs avoid 'em.
Sarah Lee used to hate dogs. They are all over the place though. She still watches them they can walk behind her now:')
My dog destest anything that isn't her most of the time.
Huh?
He hurt them?
I meant you can find one, even a tiny storm if you look hard enough. It's bound to be windy or raining somewhere out there.
Oh, ok. Stop that though. I want to be lazy this weekend:')
Yeah - I'd say it hurt... He'd scream bloody murder and had a pretty mean welt on his back afterwards.
Well, I was just wondering if he picked him up like a mother dog with a pup. I guess being "maternal" wasn't on his mind:')
Nope... :~D
Well at least he didn't "eat" him:')
And your lab never learned? Dogs are funny like that... you think that they would. My trainer's small dauchsaund got stompled (Not to be confused with trampled) once, and she's never been the same since. Now whenever she even sees a horse even look her way, she starts barking ferociously. She tried to befriend that alpha mare. It didn't work...
Our old Blue Heeler that Belle finally killed, had been kicked and knocked out cold 2 times, and had been kicked numerous times and not knocked out, but still went after the horses every time i went to feed or when ever anyone drove up our driveway, or when a horse laid down to roll. She never learned.

Instinct overwhelms pain. Heeler of the kid's the same way.
LOL. That's funny the way your horses came over to the fence to be introduced:)
They look like they've never seen a dog before.
I like the way you tied the feed pan to the post. Rocky eats out of one like that and in the dark I'm always having to hunt for it. But aren't all those wires hot? Do you reach thru to feed or go in the pen?
Becky
Yes, hay is hard to find. Our local farm-and-ranch store says they won't have coastal hay until May. They do have alfalfa.
Luckily I have enbough pasture (100 acres all told) so that my horse and donkey can find enough grazing, supplemented by oats.
I am going on a trail ride with my west Texas group tomorrow down in the brush country around Carrizo Springs and will see if there's any hay down there. I am not in need buit many are.
