Harvard museum exhibit shows "The Houses of Ancient Israel"

The exhibit, "The Houses of Ancient Israel: Domestic, Royal, Divine," focuses on everyday life around the year 700 B.C. A cut-away model of an Iron Age home shows how the upper floor was used for eating and sleeping. The exhibit lays out a typical meal _ melon, figs, olives, cheese _ in anticipation of the family's return home from the harvest. The lower floor, used for keeping animals and storage, features a small sheep pen that gives a sense of how farm animals lived among people... The exhibit was inspired by the book, "Life in Biblical Israel," written by the museum's director, Harvard archaeology professor Lawrence Stager and Philip King, professor emeritus of theology at Boston College... Separate exhibits at the museum include "Ancient Cyprus: The Cesnola Collection," and "Nuzi and the Hurrians: Fragments from a Forgotten Past."

If Bill had referred to "intrinsic aptitude", his word would be enshrined in NOW brochures and feminist tattoos.
