Well, it has a chance to get better, of course. Valentine's Day can better itself to me. The ball's in its court.

I HATE Valentine's Day. It should be abolished. Nothing reminds me that I still don't have a boyfriend quite like Valentine's.

No no no no no no no.
The ball is in YOUR court. You have much to learn, my young Padawan learner.

Valentine's Day is a terrible holiday.
There you go again, P. Don't make me come over there and slap you.
'Sweetest Day' is NOT a holiday.

Finding men to date & share activities with is easy. finding someone to share your life with is more complex. The older I get the more I realize it is much better to be alone than with the wrong person. I am more discriminating & much more open & honest right off the bat if I don't feel chemistry. Not right to lead someone along. But many men I have found are quite happy for the socialization ... and maybe are just as happy they don't have the pressures of commitment etc.
I am trusting God in this. completely.

About the weather here, we are expecting a cold night. Our furnace is not working as good as it should. I had to hit the reset button once today(I think it just has dirty contacts in the relay) and then later, The blower didn't want to start. I rotated it by hand, it seemed free, and then, after I turned the power back on, the blower and burner started fine, and has been ok since.
Still, I am worried. Nothing like it getting down below 20f. and having no heat in the house. At least, when the furnace does act up, I can usually get it going again, even if only for a little while.
About V-day-- I too got several "virtual" valentines cards", from ladies here, and from a couple on CM, too!!
Better than nothing, I reckon!!

Good evening, all..did you perchance see this thread
"Sex and the Single Boomer" and BTW..DO read the entire article....
Is this what I have to look forward to in the imminent future?..I may consider trying ultra-marathons instead...I mean, the idea of "joint HIV testing" for a date is a little hard to fathom..

I wouldn't say it if I had a boyfriend. But since I don't...Valentine's sucks.

TY, he will be three months old on Sunday. And already on the no fly list...
My other son is going to photoshop a beard on him.

Like Charlie Brown said, "I know nobody likes me. Why do we have to have a Valentine's Day to confirm it?"

'Sweetest Day' is the 3rd Saturday in October.

Here in NC, the weather is pretty much consistently cold without snowing.
You know, I don't think I got any virtual Valentine's on FR. Though I gave plenty out, and to give is better than to receive, I guess.
