Yeah, mine was modified before I got it.
Someone my Uncle worked with gave it to him more than 20 years ago. This guy I guess had an ancestor in the war.
Uncle gave it to me a few years ago for free. It's my prized possession.

Good for you. I read your profile that you're a tax expert, thats pretty handy when confronted by libs I imagine! Did you do your undergrad and masters in accounting too?

Don't forget Chuck Norris.
Remember, Chuck Norris has no chin behind that beard. Only another fist.

You know what's even more sad is today is our anniversary. We have dinner and a movie planned for tomorrow - and an off road/shootin' trip planned for next weekend.

Cool! I inherited my grandfather's Winchester Model 64 .30-30. Hardly even a scratch on it, and looks nicer than most you could buy new IMO. My prized possession too.
I would like to have an old Garand as well. Neat history for sure.

My Uncle (he is my official partner-in-crime when it comes to guns) has two .30-.30s, both Winchesters. Not sure which model. One he just got; it has a scope on it.
Those things are fun to shoot. Got to brace yourself good, though. Because the guns are so lightweight, the kick of the shot surprises you.

There are no endangered species. There are only species Chuck Norris allows to live.
Chuck Norris doesn't go hunting. Chuck Norris goes killing.
Chuck Norris single handedly ended World War II with two Roundhouse Kicks. You might know them as Atomic Bombs.

Hey honey!!!!! Are you there? Get off your damn computer so we can watch our movie!
To: RockinRight; All
since there are mostly men here now want to make a movie recommendation... If you like or know about motorcycles... esp the Older ones..the Indian..made in Springfield Mass (I believe)
Movie w/Anthony Hopkins called World's Fastest Indian. true story & will be limited release. It is in Cleveland at the Cedar Lee Theater.
I saw it last week & truly loved it although I think men will relate to it more than women.

Impressive! I've thought about a law degree after I finish grad school, but I don't know. I'm working on my MSc in Materials (metallurgical) Engineering, so I would most likely be patent law. A good friend of mine is a prof and he pushes a PhD, but I don't enjoy research enough to make a career out of it.
What are your thoughts when you're done?
