good post. BTW, I meant to ask you before. Are you familiar with Fred Hunt? he has several metallurgical patents on the steel tension cords for the big bridges.. also the FDI tensile strength testing. I live near Akron where the inventor's hall of fame is located. Love that place.

I used to live in OH, and have never been there. Lots of foundries, and steel mills in OH.
