PRESIDENTIAL HOME-SCHOOLERS

"As you probably know, Monday will be Presidents' Day. Originally intended as the celebration of George Washington's birthday, it is now widely accepted as a day to honor U.S. Presidents in general. This special holiday has particular significance to homeschoolers, since many of our Presidents received their early education, either completely or in part, through what would today be known as homeschooling.  Here's the full list of ten:

George Washington
Thomas Jefferson
John Quincy Adams
James Madison
William Henry Harrison
John Tyler
Abraham Lincoln
Theodore Roosevelt
Woodrow Wilson
Franklin Delano Roosevelt

You're welcome, it was fun. I learned some things I never knew.

No kidding about Andrew Jackson! Nowadays, I don't see that ever happening.

This post is very funny.

But,,,,think about it. If parents were to do this, the department of child welfare workers would be at the door accusing the parents of emotional and physical child abuse.

so....why aren't child welfare workers knocking on the doors of principals and teachers who allow this stuff to happen in schools? Huh? Aren't we supposed to have equal protection under the law? Shouldn't principals and teachers be held to the same abuse standards as parents?

I keep saying it. Government schools really are child abuse.

truly welcome. I thought the list of hs'd Presidents was low.

For those I would add to the list, I would include those who were also self-taught or had no formal education. The following are among those I would add to the list of homeschooled Presidents.

Andrew Jackson
James K. Polk
Zachary Taylor
Millard Fillmore
Andrew Johnson
James Garfield
Grover Cleveland

With this in mind, almost half of our Presidents have been homeschooled. I guarantee that almost half of our nation's children are not. I would like to see a homeschooled President from our era.
