Please no flames--I am at my wits end and just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas.
Personally, I don't think it's nolalakeviewgirl who needs to dump the bad attitude. :~D
Nope. But it's interesting how people like you are more interested in being a site pest than in trying to help.
I came on too strong at first and now I'm trying to toss things out which will prompt more facts from the poster--who's just mentioning such important things as having a car, having pets, etc.
You, on the other hand, are just being a snarky ass.
No, some people just have to prove they are important by being a jackass for no reason at all.
I would go over your lease carefully and make sure you haven't missed anything. You have already appealed, that might buy you some time. Get a hold of some churches in the area and see if you can maybe bunk with volunteers that are coming down to help repair housing and businesses in the area.
yes, a damage deposit equal to the rent
They also think the Zot jokes are still funny.
Sounds like the landlord wants you out. Don't know what's up with the mail, but I hope that's solved in a new place.
Much better to leave the thread to people like you, who've added so much to it.
They are only interested in the evacuees that are being evicted from hotels that fema was paying for--not someone like me
I think you need to contact the nearest Legal Aid office and tell them you need help getting a temporary restraining order against eviction ASAP.
I'm not sure of the motivation of the Landlord, I've been on both sides of this issue, but, why not offer the deposit as a timely payment of rent and agree to replace the deposit. I'm just trying to give some ideas on how to try to work with the landlord.
Sorry if anyone is an ass here it is you. You have no idea what you are talking about and think that tossing out links to housing projects makes you a thoughtful concerned person.
Let me repeat for the slow on the uptake. THere are not enough livable housing units in the city right now for people to return to. Maybe you should join church group and head down there to see what its really like,.
Perspective - Katrina made the storms that hit FL look like tornadoes. Florida is also a competent state, lots of money, lots of jobs, and with Republican people running it from time to time. No comparison here.
Okay, again... move. Move to another location. Grab your pets, stick 'em in your car and just go!
You've got money, right?
Not to mention they are still living in FEMA trailer parks in a lot of areas there over 18 months later.
You are so dense you can't see that I'm trying to get INFORMATION from the poster, who has left out far too much data.
You, on the other hand, get on your high horse, and have added NOTHING.
I couldn't care less if you think I'm thoughtful or concerned. I know what you're concerned with--preening.
Sounds like what I said. mostly. Even the 1992 CAT 5 Andrew didn't generate the kind of "peg the moron meter" that katrina did.
I think my appeal acts as a TRO. Does anyone know if my documentation from the PO would be a legal defense to the eviction before a reasonable judge?
I think you mistook her post. She was saying to stay in the state of Lousiana and how she was being treated in Louisiana, not on Free Republic. At least that's the way I read it.
no, its no defense in filing tax returns either.
Yes, I was talking about Louisiana
