A Boca Raton woman who claims shes the real-life Carmela Soprano from the hit HBO crime drama, is planning to sue the network.
Mafia wife turned author, Lynda Milito was married to Louis Milito, an alleged Gambino family capo who disappeared in 1988.
Milito is holding a news conference today at 1pm at The Westin Ft. Lauderdale Hotel, 400 Corporate Drive, to announce the lawsuit which claims The Sopranos is using the stories of her and her late husband, without her permission. Lynda Milito claims that she is the real-life Carmela Soprano and her late husband, Louie, is the real-life Tony Soprano.
Milito even told CNN in an August 2003 interview, that The Sopranos is a carbon copy of her life.
Lies! What self-respecting mobster would live in JERSEY? Okay, the Bonanno family, sure, but they didn't even have a seat on the commission.
Yo! All I have to say about the lawsuit is "forgetaboutit".
methinks this idiot woman is trying to cash-in
Tony should send her to the Pine Barrens. Man, that's gotta be the best episode eva of Sopranos.
we need a pic so that we can judge..if she is really mob wife material..should have big hair, big nails, big boobs..
Most annoying episode ever. Is that Russian guy still up in the tree or what?
I dunno, I think we'll see the Russian again. I thought Sunday's dream episode was the most annoying.
What, are you catching up on re-runs? The new season doesn't start to March 12.
If it'd do obvious, why did it take her that long to sue? The show started, what 7 or 8 years ago. Has it even been on TV in 3 years?
Yeah, I just got started. They are showing the past season on Sunday night and older shows during the week.
She's been milking this for 17 years since Sammy The Bull Gravano talked John Gotti into letting Gravano kill Milito. The body was never found.
Lynda wrote the book Mafia Wife a while back.
Gotti had no good reason to kill the "made" man, just Gravano saying Milito talked behind Gotti's back. No proof. Pissed off a lot of people in the Mob.
Better hurry.
I read her book and its just full of BS and innaccurate info.
Naturally she has it in for Gravano which is understandable, but in her book she blames anything and everything on Gravano. At one point in the book she recounts meeting John Gotti for all of a minute or two. A greeting and a handshake was all that she got from Gotti, but from her impression of that one and only meeting she declares that there is no way that such a nice man could have ordered the hit on her husband (or anyone else for that matter). Right, Gravano going around killing Gotti's capo's without Gotti's knowledge or permission.
I havent read the book in a while, so my memory is hazy, but if I recall correctly, she claims that her husband was inducted into the mafia first, before Gravano. Yet she puts her husbands induction years after Gravano was made. (I'll have to check into that again).
Bingo. Her life and that of her mob capo husband, if one goes by her book, resembles little to nothing in comparison to the Sopranos.
