Welcome to the new FreeRepublic folding@home thread. The previous thread has gotten too large, so we move on to yet another.
While this folding@home team is not officially sanctioned by Free Republic, it's 250+ members comprised primarily of Free Republic members in good standing have banded together to donate their excess CPU cycles to a worthy cause. Via distributed computing, millions of computers around the world, contribute directly to scientific research, in the quest for a greater understanding of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Cancer, and Mad Cow (BSE).
Currently, the team is in 241st place, having moved up from 1200th place, a week earlier, and is now in the top 100 teams, for daily contributions.
This is an entirely voluntary program, and if you want to learn more, please see the links posted below (or read one of the previous 8 folding threads)

We're on a good pace to break 50,000 points for today. Though our point production will be down slightly from last week, we will easily break one million points for the month.
Looks like the DUmmies have about another week of easy pickings before the mountain gets pretty steep. I wonder how many will bail when the going gets real tough.

I searched Goggle and Download.com for InCrease to no avail. I'm content to run a slow progress "protein" on this old '99 model as long as it's contributing to the overall project.

but then I have to come to FR and hunt for the current thread. Most of us bump the thread, or post nonsense/smack/geektalk in my case, every so often.
Like what I just did in post 241. Now I can find the bottom of the thread easily. Throw in a swipe at the DUmmies, and it's a good day !!! LOL

No big deal, but the CPU count for the team may be a little off. My WU and points are correct, but F@H is not showing my CPU count correctly. I have 5 total (3 PCs and 2
diskless boards running off a
single power supply). However, my (Craigon69) CPU count shows 2 active CPU's in 7days. Indeed, one is a slow on and off P3 which sends in about one WU week+/-. But the 4 others (2 2.26GHz and 2 3.0GHz) have all sent in WUs within the last 30hrs.

You may not be interested any longer, but this link, http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/16999 , goes to a download site. The ratings comments posted there by Folders using InCrease are very, very interesting.

OK--but what you'll need to do is to uninstall the F@H program that you have. (You might wait until you finish a unit to do this.) Then install InCrease. It's a very helpful interface plus the F@H program.

Just thought I'd shorten up, and clean up the links list a bit.
Anybody else sees that there should be something added, just let me know.
