Just got my computer back from being updated to xp and everything on my screen is large. I thought the view adjustment would fix it, but that doesn't do it. I have to scroll left and right to see any page. It's obviously set to some setting that makes it easy for people with bad eyes to read the text and such, but I feel like I'm using the computer version of that big pencil they start you off with in kindergarden.

The internet screen, desktop screen, what?
Start - Control Panel - Display... the settings are on one of the tabs there.
Right Click on an open area of your desktop.
Select Properties
Click on settings.
Move the slider over to the right to a larger setting. I am using 1024 by 768.
Take an OK. If you monitor will handle it, it should work fine.

actually, it sounds like you've got a mismatch between what the video settings are and what the set up on your monitor is. If your monitor has buttons for adjustments you may do better looking at those first rather than the PC. Particularly if your monitor has an "auto adjust" feature it might "fix" this right away.
what are your display settings? Do you have the right monitor type specified? What type of monitor? What type of PC?

Maybe this guy did the upgrade and forgot to return the settings to default. :)

Same suggestion, go over to the Settings tab and push up the "Screen Resolution" setting as far as it'll go tp the right.
I'm running 1280x1024 on a Dell LCD screen.

If it's just internet explorer causing the problem click on VIEW up top, Then click TEXT SIZE and choose medium.
I see that you already resolved the problem, but note that you had the Reader's Digest Large Print version for old folks installed.
There is also a Braille version.
