Bunk..For the teeny bopper population...
No,
Mine sure isn't.
This explains the phenomenum called the Grammies which are based on sales, not vocal quality.
I like songs because of how they sound, not because of who else likes them.
Today's music sucks!!! Artists of today all sound the same. And it's amazing to me that people like it and the "kids" of today think it's great. Ugh....
Is this how my parents felt?
hmmmm.... i dont like most of the music my almost 17 yr old
likes but his friends sure do. im sure its the opposite for
my tastes in music. so maybe age/generation has something
to do with peoples tastes in music too.
i like a song with a great melody and words i can belt out
in the car with the radio full blast. :)
I like a powerful instrumental track.
That is why I detest rap which to me is not music and probably why I don`t care much for country. That would explain why I like "Rodeo" by Garth Brooks but dislike most of the mellow stuff.
But that really only applies to sheeple. Sheeple being who they are, it's a good business to be in.
Nope......
Either NOT TRUE, or I run counter to the crowd....
I've been a Straight Male willing to publicly admit that I'm a huge Manilow fan since my teen years........
Now if THAT doesn't run counter to the crowd......
Hmmm. I have been wanting to do a study for a long time on how songs effect people's moods. Does it only apply to certain people or could it effect a group? Can certain songs actually calm almost anyone? What about those songs that men only listen to because they get women in the mood. I have noticed those songs often have the same type of tempo. So is it really the lyrics or is it the music itself? I don't know where I would start, though.
Private High School (I attended one): Alternative rock, with a few kids into Acid Jazz and techno.
Public High School: Hip Hop, with the honors students typically into Alternative.
If all that's available is Alpo and Mighty Dog, then one or the other is going to be very popular -- especially if Emiril prepares it.
This study proved NOTHING.
I'd agree with this study, although it's oh so obvious that Schooly-D was a musical genius.
